Youth Education at Unity of Merced

This engaging, multi-age Unity curriculum is designed to inspire, connect, and support our youth on their spiritual journey. 

At Unity, we believe every child is already a divine expression of love, wisdom, and possibility. Our Youth Education program nurtures that truth by providing a safe, joyful, and welcoming space where young people can explore their spiritual nature, connect with one another, and grow in self-awareness.

Rooted in Unity’s core values of love, inclusiveness, and practical spirituality, Youth Ed helps children and teens build a foundation that will guide them throughout their lives. Through age-appropriate lessons, storytelling, music, art, and mindful practices, our youth discover timeless spiritual principles—and learn how to apply them in their everyday experiences.

We affirm the uniqueness of every child. Rather than telling them what to believe, we invite them to ask questions, explore, and develop their own inner wisdom. In this way, Youth Ed empowers our young people to:

• Recognize the divine light within themselves and others

• Cultivate kindness, compassion, and respect

• Practice mindfulness, prayer, and positive affirmations

• Develop resilience and confidence in navigating life’s challenges

• Experience the joy of belonging to a spiritual community

Our goal is to support parents and families by helping youth begin their journey grounded in values that foster wholeness, responsibility, and love. By planting these seeds early, we give our children tools they can carry into school, friendships, and the wider world—shaping lives of purpose, peace, and spiritual strength.
