Reverend Twyla Reece

Rev. Twyla received her B.A. from the California Institute of Integral Studies and was ordained through Unity Worldwide Ministries. With more than 25 years of ministerial experience, she carries a lifelong commitment to service. Her mission is to:

These guiding principles intertwine her spiritual depth and the richness of her life experience.

Rev. Twyla was the founding minister of Unity of Longmont, a community with which she remains closely connected, and has served as minister at three other Unity centers. She has also led classes and workshops across Unity Centers in both the San Francisco Bay Area and Colorado.

Her ability to create safe spaces and to empower others was shaped by her work as a spiritual counselor and founder of the New Thought Spirit Center in California and Colorado, where she guided individuals from all walks of life. Her compassion and perspective were further deepened during her service as a hospital and hospice chaplain, where she accompanied people through some of life’s most tender thresholds.

Rev. Twyla’s meditations foster heart coherence, informed by her decades of experience as a certified HeartMath© Resiliency Coach. Her teachings on justice are grounded in direct service—as task force coordinator for nonviolence initiatives, facilitator for restorative justice programs, committee member for prison reintegration efforts, and volunteer with Safe House.

She has offered her leadership to many nonprofits boards, including the West Central Region of Unity Churches. Currently, she serves on the board of New Humanity Now, a nonprofit devoted to awakening global consciousness, and as Board President of Racemic, a nonprofit dedicated to integrating virtue into STEM education.

At the heart of Rev. Twyla’s ministerial work is her devotion to walking alongside others in love, light, justice, and spiritual awakening.
