Letter regarding COVID-19

Dear Friends,

“Sometimes we pray to a God outside ourselves. It is the God in the midst of us that frees and heals. Think of God, the all-powerful Healer, as being already within you, in every part of your mind, heart, and body.”  Myrtle Fillmore

In this unprecedented time of the COVID-19 virus, we find ourselves under restrictions as our government is asking us to, “Cancel gatherings of more than 10 people for organizations that serve higher-risk populations.” https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/large-events/mass-gatherings-ready-for-covid-19.html

Unity of Merced will follow this mandate. While we affirm that we are One with the One, and that God is the One Life of perfect wholeness, we also know that we live in a physical world of global consciousness where many people live in fear instead of love.

Unity of Merced feels it is important to act from love. By suspending our “in person” Sunday service for two weeks, we lovingly protect our community, our families and our health care providers and other first responders.

“We should believe that God is the invisible partner in our lives and affirm that divine love goes before us and prepares the way."
Dr. Ernest Holmes

While we are in this time of change, we are grateful for your continued financial support. Whether you are a committed steward or a casual supporter, your gifts allow us to continue our work of being here for you. Thank you for blessing Unity with your affirmative financial support.
